Kennywood’s Sky Rocket to open week of June 21st June 4, 2010 No Comments

If you were hoping to ride Kennywood’s new Sky Rocket on opening weekend, you better reschedule your trip to June.  An article in the Globe says the massive amounts of snow received during the 2009-10 winter caused contruction to be severly behind schedule.  The opening date for the ride is tentatively scheduled for early June.

Kennywood adding new coaster in 2010 August 14, 2009 No Comments

Fans of Kennywood and/or roller coasters will be happy to know there will be another coaster to ride at this Pittsburgh park in 2010.
Kennywood announced that it is taking out it’s turnpike ride – temporarily, to relocate it – and will be putting in a new steel coaster in its place.
