Kennywood’s Sky Rocket to open week of June 21st June 4, 2010 No Comments

If you visit the Kennywood website, you will receive a red pop-up box that has a note about the sky rocket.  The note says it is still undergoing testing but is expected to open the week of June 21st.  Click here to see the note for yourself.

If you were hoping to ride Kennywood’s new Sky Rocket on opening weekend, you better reschedule your trip to June.  An article in the Globe says the massive amounts of snow received during the 2009-10 winter caused contruction to be severly behind schedule.  The opening date for the ride is tentatively scheduled for early June.
